Two beverage products designed less than six months ago have put the Queensland beverage industry on the map by taking out top honours at the 2010 Food Magazine Food Challenge Awards announced in Sydney, Thursday 22nd, 2010.
Accolades went to the AuraGold Farms Ooray Rain Plum Sugar-Free Mixer which beat off stiff opposition to take the Winner’s Trophy in the Non-Alcoholic Beverages category and a Highly Commended Award for their Ooray Rain Plum naturally Fermented Liqueur, jointly with Stanthorpe based Castle Glen -Australia.

In my role as a health educator and researcher I come across dozens of people each week suffering from chronic digestive issues all fundamentally bought about through the prolonged consumption of poor or sub-standard food. Commonsense will tell most people (although it is fast becoming a dying phenomenon) that if you eat something and minutes or even hours later your suffer from pain in your stomach that something is amiss. Right ? Wrong!
Many people will continue to eat commercially produce bread containing an array of additives, not to mention the gluten content, and wonder why they suffer from bloating within minutes of eating it.
